After a unbelievable couple days Paris was starting to calm down. I had been in Paris with SBT from the first day when the Charlie Hebdo massacre occurred. The feeling of unity was enormous at the Je Suis Charlie march everyone in Paris it seemed came out in force with pencils in their hair and lots of powerful imagery. We did find quite a lot of right wing activists with their faces covered trying to march near the front as ‘protection’ wearing red arm bands. This aside most people seemed aware that it was a very extreme case and that a whole religion was not to blame.
